I know this is the lounge, and this isn't a parody thread... the other thread just reminded me to ask you guys about it... I think i have moles in my yard... I've seen the tunnels (they look very much like the cartoon version of animal tunnels) and when I had outdoor cats, they would kill them. Anyone have advice on how to get rid of them?

Back in the day, we would place a trap at one end of the hole, and take a garden hose and flush him out of the hole or into the trap.

^^Do I need to take pictures of the mole tunnels in my yard? This is definitely a serious thread. Are there chemical mole traps? My wife was a little put off by the mole-skewing variety

You can put worm shaped poison baits in the tunnels.

The traps will get rid of them, but it won't prevent more from coming around. The best thing you can do is just walk around and literally walk on top of the mounds to press them down level with the rest of your yard. Other than that, get rid of their food source. They are typically feeding on grubs. There is stuff you can put on your yard that will dissolve into the soil and kill grubs that are living under there. The grubs are a worse problem anyway, since they are feeding on the roots of your grass and will kill it.
