I must say, Channing Tatum never struck me as a credible actor, but the guy actually has some really good comedy chops and timing.

saw it as well...surprisingly funny. The first 10 minutes had me worried because it's basically everything you saw in the trailer...but then it was on. Good entertaining movie.

Yeah, I never thought he was funny either. He was easily the funniest person in The Dilemma.

Great movie. Exceeded expectations.

Without getting into spoiler territory, I was pleasantly surprised by the shootout scene involving two minor characters. If you've seen it, you'll know what I'm talking about. That was great.

I really enjoyed the self-aware jokes about action movies and remakes of 80s properties. It's a pretty raunchy movie (and surprisingly graphic) but was very well-written and funny.

Flick was pretty good. Saw it at the mission valley theatre and nearly lost my mind laughing during the shootout scene and the car chase scene

While watching the movie I thought, "that kid reminds me of James Franco".

damn you guys hate movies that are actually serious movies and then you love this? don't get me wrong it wasn't awful but it was pretty damn cheesy and not believable at all.

E Man, that was kinda the point. It was a parody of 80's action. Remember that scene with Ron Swanson? He wasn't talking to the actors, he was talking to the audience.

I thought it was hilarious.

I liked the movie. My only complaint (and really, you can't really call it that, more of an observation) is that they didn't really seem to "use" the R rating in my opinion. They had a shit ton of swearing, and that's about it. I felt like if they had just cut back on the f-bombs, they could have easily got a PG-13 rating. Which might have been their strategy all along, but I thought it was kind of strange when I was watching it.

There were the 3 naked people at the party. Where they were like "What was the chick in the back doing anyway?"

You couldn't see boobs or butt and that scene lasted less than 3 seconds. They literally could have shown that part on network TV, nevermind a PG-13 movie.

[Edited on June 24, 2012 at 8:46 PM. Reason : but great example of a scene that could have been "juiced up" to really earn that R rating.]

No nudity

the highway chase scene was terrible

there was no explanation at all as to how the supplier developed the drugs

some very annoying romantic subplots with a girl that truly was too ugly for the camera

this was terrible

i had some free on-demand movies and had a hard time finding things i wanted to watch, so i was like "what the fuck, some people liked this".

it was really bad. it wasn't quite angry-i-even-bothered bad, b/c i laughed a few times, but it was not good at all.

it's one of the most self-aware comedies of the last ten years

I legitimately can't see how anybody could find it to be anything other than an above-average comedy

i felt like it straddled the line between self awareness and trying (and failing) to maintain a believable plot. can't go both ways.

you don't need a hyper-realistic plot in a self-aware comedy that features an animated tripping sequence?
