Sounds very similar to some of the recommendations in Tim Feriss' "4 Hour Body".[Edited on February 28, 2012 at 10:53 AM. Reason : s]

I've read about this before. It's probably true that this helps you get in shape, but as always diet has a lot more to do with it. You can't run on a treadmill for 3 minutes going apeshit and then sit down and eat a large pizza and expect results.[Edited on February 28, 2012 at 11:11 AM. Reason : a]

Older than jesus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-intensity_interval_trainingIf you really do this, you will want to die. But it's worth it.

Somehow, I think the author has a different definition of "fit" than I do.High intensity training really isn't that bad. I'll take 15 minutes of sprint intervals over 1 hour of running any day.

Yea, there's no way you can acheive noteworthy strength or capacity with this protocol. Will it help stave off obesity and sedentary related diseases? Sure, but don't expect to get noticed when you take your shirt off at the pool.

I'm a big follower of this, however I do my 3 minutes of HIIT each and every day. It's hard to say how much it's helped, just because i've been doing it for nearly 20 years now, so I don't know what might be different if I wasn't doing this. As with any exercise regimen, you want to avoid the same routine constantly. I use freely available videos that have a wide variety of material to keep things fresh. The best thing about it is that you can never say you don't have enough time for a workout, and the endorphin release is addicting.

Ever since I started Bobby's workout plan, I was able to get my phone bill paid. I got sounds and 13's put on my Cavalier, and I was able to get a free trip to Cancun. And what's most importantly is that I ain't gotta fuck Ray Ray's broke ass no mo.

i think the best workouts is to design your own routine that you enjoy. if you follow someone else's design you'll burn out guaranteed.

I normally get about 1 hr of HIIT/week. It sucks. Especially since I follow it up with 20-30 min of steady-state cardio. And this is all following about a 1 hour weight training session. But as previously said, permanent body fat is controlled by nutrition. Physical training only prepares and aides the body in maximizing the benefits of nutrition.
