These are very fucking unreasonable and invasive. They are changes that 99% of people can't keep or report accurately. (meaning the government can accuse you of falsifying reported income and they have proof from the transfer and receiving end of each business transaction. For everyone that uses credit cards that I warned that the government will use it to track your spending and income.... we'll the time has arrived. You better read up about changes in the 2012 tax code.

I wish that conservatives would actually make things like this an issue. If you're in favor of the free market, then for heavens sake make it easier for individuals to do business.

I'm sure they'll get right on that. As soon as they outlaw sodomy, abortion, and contraception.

It's one thing to give child support to a fiscally responsible mother, but to give child support to a mother that not only spends the money improperly, but recklessly, to the demise of everyone around her...It's one thing to give tax to a fiscally responsibly government, but to give taxes to a government that not only spends the money improperly, but recklessly, to the demise of everyone around them...[Edited on February 26, 2012 at 3:35 PM. ^ ^^you're the only party trying to lengthen the rulebook about shit social issues that nobody gives a fuck about. congrats. you've successfully tried to derail this election cycle about a fucked up economy and make it about a social issue that literally everybody on the face of the earth is tired of hearing about.nice try jackasses!

I don't associate with "parties".People can hardly pick 6 numbers to win the lottery. I have huge reservations that one party can match the 600 issues that I'm for. There are only 2 main parties to represent 300 million individuals. Therefore, I do not associate with parties. I associate with the constitution.

A consumption tax like the Fair Tax would solve so many problems.

That would just further preclude poor and middle classers from purchasing certain items should they save up for them. If those items, like houses or classic cars, are ones that accrue value over time, it would just further inhibit upward mobility. The problem is that the poor and middle class spend a higher proportion of their income on consumption than the rich. That is, it would reduce the percent of income that is taxed as you get richer. It's not about what they buy, it's about how they buy. It's a sneaky way of casting a regressive income tax as somehow equitable, the fact that they smack the word "Fair" at the beginning should tip you off. Anytime somebody assigns a nominally-positive adjective to their proposal, it's usually overcompensation.[Edited on March 9, 2012 at 11:49 AM. Reason : .]

god knows these poor people have the right to save up for that yacht or SL Benz...who are we to take that away from them
3/9/2012 11:51:55 AM
God knows middle class people better not try to buy property!Sorry dude, but you've been tricked into playing stooge for the rich. How would you like your effective income tax to be higher than that of a millionaire's? That's what you'll get with Fairtax.[Edited on March 9, 2012 at 11:54 AM. Reason : .]

Assuming the basics such as food and medicine are taxed either very low, or not at all, I would much rather choose when and where I pay tax instead of having it siphoned right off the top.discretionary spending is called discretionary for a reason.
