I need some Bart Scott up in here. "CAN'T WAIT"

I'm excited about the Royals. I think they have a pretty good shot at finishing above .500 and maybe even winning that unimpressive division if the Tigers have any injury issues. There's a lot of good, young offense. If they can manage a middle of the pack team ERA they'll be ok.[Edited on February 16, 2012 at 1:32 AM. Reason : dgsdg]

Here's hoping the Reds do something in the next couple of years, before Votto signs a $200 million contract for some big market team.

Braun won his appeal, won't be suspended.
2/23/2012 6:04:41 PM
2/23/2012 6:10:06 PM
On a bullshit technicality, or am I reading it wrong?
2/23/2012 6:10:40 PM
definitely sounds like a bullshit technicality to me.
2/23/2012 6:16:29 PM
Wow if this did not involve a superstar, MLB would never have removed his suspension. MLB is following the NCAA handbook for punishment apparently. I'd be pissed if I was another NL Central team.
2/23/2012 6:28:11 PM
chain of custody is a pretty big deal - I wasn't aware of this until a career change roughly a year ago where we handle samples that require COC
2/23/2012 8:37:26 PM
maybe it was more open and shut for him to challenge this particular element vs the test itself? for some reason i tend to believe he's innocent.....not really sure why though
2/23/2012 8:41:33 PM
rflong...It was MLB vs Braun. The arbiter was a neutral party.
2/23/2012 9:18:41 PM
I dunno if Braun shot roids in his butt checks, but he definitely was a fan of jizz being shot into his asshole. Dude's the gayest MLB player since Keith Hernandez.
2/23/2012 9:20:41 PM
2/23/2012 9:20:42 PM
i thought he tested positive because of his herpes medication or something
2/23/2012 11:06:47 PM
2/23/2012 11:10:21 PM
its common knowledge that Keith Hernandez is a fan of the penis, whether your sources be candid former MLB players or random acquaintances/older friends who grew up in the tri-state who had people tell them 3rd party stories of "yeah my buddy slept with Keith Hernandez" "oh really, you know some girl who slept with Keith Hernandez" "no, it was a dude"hey before i jumped on the Minnesota bandwagon back in 87 my staying-up-late to watch baseball experience was the Mets/Bosox series the year before, Gary Carter is one of my favorite players just based on who was doing what when I got exposure to televised professional baseball, so I have nothing against the Metsjust thought it was a common sentiment, but again he hasn't played in quite awhile and I'm older than your average TWWer]
2/23/2012 11:50:56 PM
^i don't know, this sounds pretty convincing:
2/23/2012 11:57:38 PM
if i wouldnt have had a personal friend who is 35 and originally from NY and a Mets fan tell me that story, I wouldn't have ever suspected (minus the tell-tale stache), but this sounds pretty convincing too...and maybe he's bi, but thats still kinda gayhttp://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/mets/2006/04/hernandez-takes-the-heat.html

i heard that the wilpons, in an effort to look like even bigger pieces of subhuman filth than they already are, refused to retire gary carter's number. maybe they ended up caving eventually, but i never heard of anything after the initial refusal. nice friends, bud selig.
2/24/2012 9:14:43 AM
The Braun overturning is a zionist conspiracy. Him and the sneaky jew baseball arbitrator Shyam Das are in cohoots because their people have already suffered enough during the holocaust. No gentile, black white latino or azn, would get the same treatment.

Best opening day story: Robin Ventura managing his first game in the Ballpark in Arlington, last seen in Texas getting his ass beat at Arlington StadiumThird year to the series will be the charm mofos
2/24/2012 12:45:56 PM
The fight was in 93. Ventura played with the White Sox through 98 and with the Yankees in 02 and 03.
2/24/2012 1:09:24 PM
It was his rookie year, most people know this. Do you think I really meant that literally and thought that throughout the rest of his career he didn't come back to play at Texas at all?
2/24/2012 1:38:48 PM
Most people know Ventura debuted in 1989, his rookie year was 1990.
2/24/2012 1:54:41 PM
I concede defeat on that point, I apologizemy original point stands...it's just a saying
2/24/2012 1:58:48 PM
We're playing stupid internet word fight now, but it's difficult to misinterpret "last seen"Anyway... baseball.
2/24/2012 2:18:07 PM
There's a very real possibility that both Justin Morneau and Brian Roberts could be retiring within the next 24-48 hours, due to lingering concussion symptoms for both men.
