I'm assuming you bought a car from this same dealer. If so, they stand to make more money on you buying a car and are more willing to give you a "good" price.

No this dealer contacted me through craigslist! He showed up in the rain and handed me the cash. The whole process didn't even take 5 minutes. There were finance papers in the car from when the previous owner bought it in 2009 for $8500 from a dealer (who financed it for them at 22%). I bought it after it was repossessed.
