Is the big moose head still on the wall?

I lived there from 2 yo to 3rd grade... sorry not going to be of much help. I do remember there being a white beach and a black beach.

I live in Gulf Breeze, which is right beside Pensacola. You definitely want to live in Gulf Breeze/Navarre or somewhere in Santa Rosa County. Much lower crime/tax, better education. What are you planning to do in Pensacola?

I kissed the moose... my family is from there and vacationed there as a child. Its got a few awesome places like mcguires and the beaches are awesome if you just want to lay there. Not a lot of surf... definitely affordable though. I lived there briefly after college.

^2 I have a job interview with one of the hospitals there... My interview isn't until end of February though. I got the relocation package and started thinking about it. So Navarre is good? I saw that one in this little community section of a magazine they sent... Seems niceAnd I don't mind jets, grew up around Cherry Point so the noise won't be a big deal

I used to live near Pensacola in Ft.Walton Beach when I was in 5th-7th grade (military).I don't remember much, but I do remember that McGuires Pub place that maximus posted. They used to have some ridiculous $100 hamburger too that was fucking enormus.

if you're going to work in Pensacola, I would definitely recommend Gulf Breeze. I'm sure many people in the hospital you're interviewing in live in Gulf Breeze. It's right next to Pensacola, so your commute would be about 20 minutes. Navarre is a little bit further out. Both cities are very similar to each other.

Depends on what you like.... If you aren't scared of vegans and hate the thought of living in a boring suburb then there are plenty of places in P'cola that are awesome. East Pensacola Heights is nice (I used top live off of 17th Ave and Mallory St), housing near Bayou Texar is nice as well but $$$$, really there are many cool spots (closer to the water the better obviously).Navarre is great if you can afford it (don't live inland) but would be a bit of a commute due to traffic and speed limit. If I remember right it is 55mph on Hwy 98 and the cops are bastards! Living on the water is the ticket, the fishing is amazing and the sugar white beach is beautiful.Gulf Breeze is ok if you like old people and run of the mill suburbs. Sure the crime rate is lower but I wouldn't recommend living there unless you are 50 or spitting out children.

do yourself a favor and check on the crime rate in Pensacola, and you'll see why I recommend you living in Gulf Breeze. Gulf Breeze is literally 3 miles from Pensacola.

I lived in Pensacola from 2005-2007, and then moved back in August and plan to live here for the foreseeable future.

Haha, not 50 and not spitting out kids. I'll definitely check out crime rates... considering we are both young and I'm not really the type to like cookie cutter type subdivisions, what would be the best bet in y'alls opinions? Does Gulf Breeze only have subdivisions and all that? Commute isn't a super big deal, but I would like to keep it to under half an hour for sure... preferably 20 minutes or lessThe hospital is right near the airport, so it doesn't seem too far from Gulf Breeze or Hwy 98
