My gf needs to get a key cut for her Jetta Wagon

she has a blank key that she needs to get it cut

suggestions?

Go to VW dealer, order new key, pick up key tomorrow

$20 and you won't have a shitty key

Not sure about VW specifically, but it is generally cheaper to get the key and remote online, then take to dealer for cut & programming. My dealership even did it for free.

the two places she's talked to told her they don't cut and program those keys

the service department at both VW dealerships said they don't cut them

VW lost a class-action lawsuit over those stupid keys. Maybe you can get paid.

key harbor (i think) at crabtree. i heard they will even program it.

^the name is correct. i've had several keys cut there. what can i say? the keys work so i guess they do decent work.

^ that's pretty rare...they're typically 30%-50% under dealer prices.

^ keys aren't the problem...theyre cheap everywhere, the $texas is involved in the programming.
