it has a blown headgasket....just about every one of them from that era does it. not a tough fix, but driving it with the problem is prone to crack the block, especially if you have poured cold water into the radiator to add to the system.

If this is NOT the one that my friend attempted to put 3 junkyard motors in, I will offer you $400.That one had a clogged radiator from someone trying the "headgasket in a can" shit

Does anyone that bid mind if I ask how much they would have went to?[Edited on January 23, 2012 at 5:33 PM. Reason : like $600, $1000 if you looked at it and it looked good, $750, etc]
1/23/2012 5:31:40 PM
dude they lost the bid, you don't have to insult them.
1/24/2012 9:57:21 PM
i just wondered how people that know cars determine how much to bid on something with an obvious problem that costs several hundred to fix at a shop.
1/25/2012 2:39:29 AM
^ It's a lot more than $everal hundred at a shop for these cars. The boxer engine is not an easy one to replace the head gaskets (there are two of them.)
