I assume you are talking about an international harvester scout, in which case, I would do a whole lot more research. Once you have done your homework, come back, and I can point you in the right direction.

no first gens or travelers around here that I know of at the moment, but check here: http://www.binderplanet.com and http://www.justih.org. The classified sections occasionally have local trucks for sale. Join southeastern binders assocation (link on binderplanet) and let them know what you are looking for. Occasionally stuff is for sale in this area that is not really adverstised. Don't buy anything from that guy in youngsville, overpriced and his stuff is beat to hell.

A stock 68 will have manual steering and manual brakes, for weekend cruising it is fine, for moderate trails it is fine. For daily driving, parking lots, and freeway driving it really sucks. 1st gear generally is not sycnronized on the manuals.
