So this is something that has been going on for a while, and is more of a problem when it is hot, but still a problem nonetheless. So sometimes when I'm running my AC, the cold air will suddenly become hot (and I'm not talking ambient temp, it is HOT hot). The only way to get the cold air back is to turn off the truck and restart it, and even then, it sometimes takes a couple tries, or letting the truck sit for a little bit. Now here is the weirdest bit (at least in my mind) - it only happens on the drivers side. So when my air turns from cool/normal to hot, the passenger side stays nice and cold. So what could be causing this? anyone ever had this problem before, or even heard of it? It really is annoying...

failing actuator, or maybe the electronic brains that control it?Ask zxappeal...he's into that HVAC stuff.

Brett...looks like the driver's side actuator is going bad. Has a feedback potentiometer in there that's likely experiencing intermittent failure. Let me know if you want me to help out with this.
