Just drove back home a new mazda 3. Is there anything that I should be aware of during driving?

A lot of things. The road, other drivers, how fast you are going, warning lights in your instrument cluster, oil and coolant temperatures, etc.

All trolling aside, congrats!

keep us updated on the real-world MPG. By real-world I am referring to the method where you fill up X gallons and do division with the number on the trip odometer.

Skyactiv....sounds like one of those "we're going green" initiatives.

But congrats anyways!

^This technology could be a stunt.
^^ Mazda 3 is famous for local commute purpose. You remind me of this. Yes, I need to test real-world MPG.

definitely interested in how the mileage works out for you...i want either a mazda3 hatch with the skyactiv engine or ford focus with an ecoboost (i think) engine and the dual dry clutch auto transmission

i suppose the elantra and cruze eco claim roughly the same highway mileage, but the focus and mazda3 are undoubtedly zippier

^^The dual clutch available for the Focus is horrible. You've been warned.

My Focus just has the regular 5 speed manual. I'm real glad I got my trim level........SE Sport 5speed. It actually does get over 40mpg on the highway, if you drive exactly 65mph. Active grille shutters doing their job?

That dual clutch- drove one. On lower RPMs it was like a go kart that was jumpy.
