Financial planning, CPA, and/or legal advice?I know it varies greatly depending on your situation, but what have you been billed and for what type of help?

CPA: ~$150 to do our taxes in year's past because I operated my own business. We've done our own taxes the last 2 years, but I think we'll go back to using the CPA this next year because things just got a lot more complicated.Lawyer: Unbilled, but we need financial guardianship papers to take control of our son's inheritance.

$1500 for end of year taxes, payroll taxes, information keeping (meaning my records are readily available at all times for an IRS agent to walk in there and approve)I do all of my own bookkeeping even though she said she'd do it. I have more control. She's a certified IRS tax preparer acting as an attorney.I (nearly) never have to deal with the government.
