That's great, I'd be concerned about my kid being taught at a school where the people in charge:a) Seem to think that spending money on these fingerprint scanners is a good use of school fundsb) Is a good idea in the first place

they're happy to offer the opt-out because the parents of the kids they want the prints from, won't bother to opt out

Hmm, being treated like a criminal in order to be a law abiding citizen. Sounds eerily familiar. You CCH people know what I'm talking about.]

The fingerprinting of students makes we wonder if we're actually getting close to that point where the line between satire and reality just blurs.I wondered for a second if there was a problem with our schools being both hilarious and sad, in that the kids might not get it, and just accept it as normal. But you know, that's expected, they're supposed to figure it out in high school that our nation is too crappy to take seriously.

My high school took attendance once or twice a day and anyone not in class had their parent called to make sure they knew where the kid was. Seemed effective enough and cheap. The kids on office duty did it all for a class credit

those things will last two weeks max before students start putting shit on their fingers to break the damn thing.well, maybe not actual shit, but something nasty. well, maybe actual shit, why not.[Edited on October 10, 2011 at 6:21 PM. Reason : ]
