You should contact Triangle's Other Woman if you don't get any feedback here. Their prices are not much higher than what you are asking, I think it's $60 for a full house cleaning, and they do organization and laundry too.http://otherwomannc.com/?page_id=17We've been very happy with their cleaning.

^exactly what I've been looking for. Many thanks!

I will contact them if I don't hear anything here. I have spoken with the girl who owns it, and it is a pretty good deal. The thing is that the company takes a huge cut of that $60 and pays their people hourly. Id like to cut out the middle man if possible and get the actual person working more money. We want to find someone trustworthy and nice that we can create a relationship with and call on at $20 per hour for things like errands if we need them -hence tapping the wolf web as a source. Shu

so I am assuming you mean housework like cleaning, ironing, etc. and not repairs, installations, things you need tools for?If the tools stuff, what do you need done? If not, I'm not your man.

Righto. I mean floors, bathrooms, kitchen, errands, etcShu

Do you have money to burn or what?

I dont think that's any of your god damn business

If you're looking for someone to do errands as well, there's all sorts of liability issues that go into that. If the person gets into an accident in their car while working for you, it can cause a huge headache for any insurance companies involved. So while yes a company offering this service takes a big cut of the money, it's because they're paying for liability insurance on top of supplies and everything else. If you do decide to hire someone independently on the regular, you may want to go with someone who already has a liability insurance policy.

I really appreciate your input on this matter, but this will be a cash only venture. I'm surprised that nobody is interested in this. Any ideas why?

^^ You paying cash has nothing to do with the liability issues
10/9/2011 6:02:17 PM
It does if there is nothing in writing saying this person is working for me.

^I'm all about people using TWW to get errands and housework done, but you're being ridiculous if you think that argument would hold up in court if you got sued for liability for an injury in your home, or on an errand. Just because it's not in writing doesn't mean there isn't a contract or liability. But, that's neither here nor there if you choose to take that risk.

Well and who would want to work for someone who is basically like, "Screw you" if you get injured on the job
