so i get a nice phone call from state farm this morning asking if im planning on making a payment on my yamaha vmax anytime soon.im like "whhhhhhaaat! i traded that bike back in february for a harley!"phone lady: "no, we're still showing you owe this much and havent made a payment since then."me: "okay send me your contact info, im driving right now, ill call my dealer and find out whats up."i call the dealership and they have the title and payoff receipt. i gave them the state farm chick's contact info and they havent gotten back to me with a resolution yet.i mean, im confident this is going to work out, but what the fuck happened here? and has my credit score gotten buttfucked for the past 8 months?godammit!

Stupid things happen with insurance. I got a letter from the loan holder on my car last year informing me that they had no proof of comprehensive insurance on the car and would be adding it to my loan payment for something ridiculous like $100/month. This despite the fact that the car has been insured by the same Nationwide office since I bought it. Evidently when my loan got bought by a new company, they neglected to request proof of insurance from the former loan holder and just assumed I did not have any. Got it worked out without having to pay anything, though I did have to do some calling around to both the loan issuer and my insurance office.I'd check your credit score, but if this is the first time State Farm has bothered to contact you about it, I doubt they've made a negative report to the bureau yet.
