it's a quote lifted directly from an old issue of ESPN magazine. there was an ad, i think promoting ESPN U (which was fairly new at the time) and they had an NC State pennant with that written on it.

you can blame ESPN for that. i still have that shirt laying around somewhere.

Wow, that was awful. That would have been painful to read from someone actually wearing the shirt.

that line came from a quote way back in the '20s where a dude said our fans behaved like a pack of wolves

yeah, and he almost made a shitload of Thank Heavens for Daniel Evans shirts but he was wise enough to wait a week or two to see how that would pan out...

This is pretty much the original ad. I think PackPride modified it to have the block S on the bottom.

I like that shirt. People who don't get it probably aren't die hard State fans which is fine, not everyone get emotional about sports. It explains why they don't understand or "get" the shirt though.

And yes the "this is not red" should say "this is not just red".

i am very passionate about sports

i actually do get what they were TRYING to do

i'm just saying this attempt to appeal to emotion is completely crippled by the shitty phrasing

some fucking intern at ESPN wrote this horseshit in 5 minutes and someone immortalized it on a shirt

THAT is what i do not get

i thought it was a play on light blue and dark blue....

I think it would be funnier if the front read: This is RED.
