I think aliases are bought and sold via pm through some sort of back room TWW black market.Someday I'm going to do a full scale piece of investigative journalism and expose this shadowy TWW underbelly to the rest of us non-insiders.

I lived with my grandma for a summer when I was 16 and worked at the Hardee's in Kinston on 70. We had fried chicken. It was so very yummy.
9/16/2011 10:49:11 AM
Hardee's still has fried chicken. All of the Hardee's locations that were formerly Skats have fried chicken. There's fried chicken at the Hardees in Ayden and in Greenville. It's the best fried chicken. We occasionally pick it up for Sunday dinners when the whole family gets together to eat.

Now, I could be wrong, but all of the Hardees that I know of with fried chicken were Skats when I was a little kid.
9/16/2011 11:05:51 AM
The first hardees ever was right beside my hometown. I love chicken nuggets
9/16/2011 12:21:01 PM
Just had some bojangles - 3rd/FreeIceTea/Fry so goooood.
9/16/2011 12:24:48 PM
What is this Skats you speak of? Hardee's have been Hardee's as long as I can remember (early 80's), and they all had fried chicken when I was growing up. This was in Greensboro BTW.
9/16/2011 1:12:23 PM
lol Hardee's Skat-Thru
9/16/2011 1:20:58 PM
yeah, I've never heard of this Skats thing either. Considering Hardees started in greenville, I have to imagine several of them were original stores (not some takeover conversion deal). I just looked at Wikipedia and it doesn't mention anything about Skats. it does say fried chicken got introduced in the 80s though (For some reason I always thought fried chicken was Hardee's main thing originally -- might be because that's all we ever got when my family went there)
9/16/2011 1:24:43 PM
burgaw nc had a skats if that gives you any impression of the chain. i think hardee's just bought up the buildings after they shut down
9/16/2011 1:31:06 PM
http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/BoddieNoell-Enterprises-Inc-Company-History.htmlBut in 1985 the company launched a new fried chicken concept called Skats that caught on. The smaller restaurant format cost much less to launch than a Hardee's and was suitable for small town locations, with populations of 5,000 to 7,000, the kind of markets in which Hardee's was not interested. Once Skats proved successful, however, Hardee's began to open restaurants in some of the same small towns, leading to a 1990 confrontation between Hardee's and Boddie-Noell. It was Mayo's son Bill who brokered a peace between the two parties, leading to the conversion of Skats units to Hardee's restaurants.
