Got my passenger-side side marker light smashed in when an uninsured driver decided to make a left turn from the straight-only lane on my right. Hit the tire on his lifted truck and glanced off...no body damage, just a smashed side marker lens and some rubber streaks on the car.2000 Nissan Maxima. Any tips on how I should go about replacing the assembly? I popped the hood only to find screws and pins associated with the headlight, and a nice metal encasing (maybe holding the bumper in place?) keeping me from getting down any further under the hood. Removing the casing seems like it would take some time, so I'm hesitant to do this. If I go in through the passenger side tire by removing the splash shield, would I find a pin that I'm looking for? It's not some ridiculous grab and pull while hoping not to break it assembly, is it?Orange lens on the passenger side is what I'm talking about replacing:[Edited on September 8, 2011 at 10:24 AM. Does the light only work when making evasive manueversNo but in real life. Take the clips down from spashshield and you can see the light plug in. Twist to left a 1/4 turn and pull out. Replace with 194 bulb.
