2004 Jetta, apparently over time the power steering reservoir line has come loose from the bracket and it rubbed on the idler pully creating a small pinhole leak. I found fluid on the ground and moved the line, and the next morning most of the fluid was on the ground. I ordered a new (used) line and want to put it on myself if possible. Is it as simple as swapping the lines and adding power steering fluid? I have never messed with power steering systems, so I am pretty new to this area.

you will have to bleed air out of the system. I'm not sure what the procedure is on that car but usually it's something like jacking the car up and turning the wheels back and forth to work the bubbles out.
