I think that there are other things that have done a much more effective job in pacifying America's youth than psychiatric drugs: the Internet and readily available porn, video games and television, fast food, and better weed.

I wouldn't stereotype the internet and weed much. Some people I know are remarkably informed just from getting baked 1-2 hours a night and reading the internet. Of course, they pay attention to high quality sources of information, so . . .
