Already dealt with the issue with my older macbook message_topic.aspx?topic=597673 but now I have a new macbookpro and need to do the same...and once again I'm confused with this shit.Since I have the thunderbolt port, what do I need to connect it to my tv? On my tv I have two HDMI ports:HDMI 1 port andHDMI 2 port with the 2 av portsDoes this mean I can get both audio and video via the thunderport to my HDMI 1 port? If so, what do I need in terms of cables/adapters?

thunderbolt is backwards-compatible with mini-displayport so just pick up a mini-dp->HDMI adapter that supports audio and use a standard hdmi cable. Yours does support audio-out but you may have to actually select it in settings when it's hooked up.

So I just need that ^ and something like this http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Cable-2M-6-Feet/dp/B0002L5R78/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1312069543&sr=1-1 and I'm set as long as I make sure the settings on my mac are changed?

I'm sure the adapter from the amazon reseller is fine too though.

I actually just returned the one linked above from Amazon since it developed a short within a week. I've used the ones from Mono-price and there's another one on Amazon (~$15) that I've good luck with as well tough.
