Its a Lenovo. It has a finger scanner for logging in. But recently the finger scanner is overheating. Overheating to the point where it actually burned my finger. I looked online and it said that some computers wireless adapter(i think) is located below it and if you turn off your wireless on your laptop it would go away. This did not work. Any ideas?

Sounds like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen - just like McDonald's coffee. Can you disable it in software or in the BIOS? If so, see if that makes any difference. Some manufacturers post instructions on how do disassemble everything - if Lenovo does, see if you can find out what other heat generating components are nearby and would transfer heat to the fingerprint reader. If it's simply component failure, you could always take it apart and disconnect it from the mobo. In any event, it sounds like you might want to get a warranty claim started (if still covered).
