I don't have the link, but this happened to me on my 2000 camaro once. Just google it, there are instructions on the web. It involves calling some dealership hotline to get a passcode.

If you have the manual it should have a number in it. Write it down next time.

Thanks. I have the manual. Problem is the display went out on the stock head unit, picked up a cheapy on eBay, but it in says locked. The is no code in the manual. And dealer tells me I have to bring it in and hook it up to aGM tech 2 system? The procedures I found online refer to pre 2005 models. If you any one knows someone with the right equipment I'd like to get a quote on getting the work done.

surely one of them will give you the code over the phone with just the VIN
