Okay I know this is my like 20th thread on this crap. Butfor 5k and you want 24mpg combined minimum, with reliability what do you buy????Considering trying to tdi.

Doesn't the tittle mean gay and gay

I wouldn't buy a TDI, would buy a Saab 9-3 for $4k and save a grand for the whole "reliability" thing, or a Volvo 850 turbo for $3k, and save $2k for the whole "24mpg" part.Don't buy a soulless Japanese appliance mobile, for the love of all that is holy...

Trying to avoid the soulless Japanese.Right now thinking TDI, A older S10 pickup (4 cyl 5 speed) gets decent mileageIf i went Subaru it would have to be impreza, outback gets too crappy mpg.I have heard bad things about Saab's reliability. Are the 9-3 good vehicles? Any problem points? Arent most of the turbo's going to be dieing at 100k miles?

6/23/2011 3:47:22 PM
i already have a ls2... Need better mpg
6/23/2011 10:16:12 PM
do you really drive that much to justify the additional $5k purchase price, insurance, maintenance, and possibly a marginal increase in average fuel economy?that gto gets what, 16-17avg?
6/24/2011 7:14:37 AM
An NA Miata will do all that you ask and more.
6/26/2011 1:39:29 AM
is the amount of money you will spend on depreciation, insurance, maintenance, and tax enough to offset the money in gas savings? I'm thinkin the answer is no.
