The feel-good story about a small-market Major League franchise that beats the odds to miss the playoffs seven out of eight years, and the man that led them to zero postseason series victories. Starring Brad Pitt, the fat guy from Superbad, and Andy Dwyer.]

I'm getting burned out on every actor that was in Superbad.
6/16/2011 4:20:36 PM
Yeah, not seeing the similarities...wonder who will play the immortal Scott Hatteberg?lulz around with this film
6/16/2011 4:21:35 PM
Brad Pitt as Billy Beane makes more sense than Jonah Hill as Paul DePodesta[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 4:28 PM. Reason : Chris Pratt is playing Hatteberg][Edited on June 16, 2011 at 4:31 PM. Reason : Hope Steve Phillips is in there somewhere]
6/16/2011 4:28:08 PM
Jonah Hill has lost a TON of weight:http://yfrog.com/hs7cxxzj[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 4:37 PM. Reason : he's still fat in the movie, not trying to suggest otherwise]
6/16/2011 4:37:15 PM
J-Lo can play the fat Hispanic slut Steve Phillips was banging at Shea. This looks... awful.[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 4:39 PM. Reason : Though Chris Pratt is kinda awesome][Edited on June 16, 2011 at 4:41 PM. Reason : Also, Scott Kazmir is unemployed. He can play himself.]

Good Book. I don't know how they would turn it into a movie though.
6/16/2011 7:05:07 PM
the same way you turn the blind side into a movieyou ignore what the book is actually about
6/16/2011 7:09:53 PM
i just hope it features at least one 10-pitch at-bat that results in a walk in real timeso people can get a feel for how boring those ABs really are
6/16/2011 7:20:00 PM
the only thing worse than a baseball movie is a baseball statistics movie.
6/16/2011 7:45:23 PM
^^^ and get aaron sorkin to write the script^^ they fuckin rule when you're the guy doing it thoughi honestly can't wait for this movie just to see how baseball purists react to it. any time they hear something about advanced statistics or sabermetrics they go absolutely ape shit. [Edited on June 16, 2011 at 7:52 PM. Reason : .]
6/16/2011 7:48:41 PM
Jonah Hill looks better fathe looks awkward as hell as a skinny person (compared to what he used to be)...his head is huge
6/16/2011 7:51:01 PM
Soderbergh had an interesting concept for the film, but I think that got canned.
6/17/2011 12:31:59 AM
McLovin' as Theo Epstein
6/17/2011 2:51:29 PM
Pretty good movie. Will probably win Aaron Sorkin another academy award.
9/23/2011 11:14:41 PM
^^^^ Seriously I think Jonah Hill's career is over. I mean it's good for his health that he lost all that weight, but nobody wants a fat actor after he loses weight. When is the last time you saw Horatio Sanz or Will Sasso in anything. At least when he was fat he had a built in niche, now he's just a plain looking semi-funny guy.
9/23/2011 11:30:50 PM
fuck talentit's all about appearance
9/24/2011 1:56:07 AM
^^ Will Sasso has no talent, and Horatio Sanz is hell to work with. That's what's keeping them out of stuff, not the fact that they lost weight.
9/24/2011 3:53:00 AM
WTF is Joe Satriani doing in this??
9/24/2011 9:15:40 AM

"You shouldn't have lost all that weight. There's nothing funny about a physically fit man. Nobody wants to see Lance Armstrong do comedy." Jonah Hill in Funny PeopleI was so psyched to see Moneyball. Loved the book, loved the concept, love Aaron Sorkin's work...movie was terrible.
9/24/2011 1:13:36 PM
the movie was not terrible! that's ridiculous. the movie did have three endings, but in no way was it terrible.
9/24/2011 5:21:04 PM
I hope I never in my life have to reference Horatio Sanz to try and prove a point.
9/24/2011 5:22:48 PM
So do they actually win in the movie?
9/24/2011 5:58:32 PM
I liked it!But I knew it would be long so I made sure to take a nice smoke break.Brad Pitt is really attractive. And baseball players are the best-looking of all the sports. The uniforms are super awesome. So, yeah, two thumbs up, guys!
9/24/2011 6:50:44 PM
I liked it as well!
9/25/2011 12:42:00 AM
^ You gay.
9/25/2011 1:02:49 AM
Nah. But I did enjoy the movie.

Jay Davis as Jay Davis
9/25/2011 2:58:15 AM
^^He's still a goofy looking fucker (with a monstrous head...and it's not like he's in Mark Wahlberg shape) and has a schtick that a lot of people find funny. The guy will be fine.

hope it wins awards. Also, props to the stat nerds

We watched this last weekend and really enjoyed it.
2/19/2012 9:39:59 AM
During the whole movie, I thought that Brad Pitt was doing his best "Aldo the Appache" impersonation. Oh wait, he played the same character in a film not to long ago. He just brought it down a couple notches and made it a little more mild. It is amazing how good ideas have longevity.
2/19/2012 1:54:58 PM
I enjoyed it. Ernie's summary was pretty funny too
2/19/2012 2:29:22 PM
