I've been there. It's alright. I wasn't very impressed with the atmosphere. It was just a big open room with tables. Nothing really to look at. It was my first time at a dim sum place, so I'm not really the expert authority or anything.
5/13/2011 11:05:38 AM
^same here

5/13/2011 11:38:07 AM
Everytime I see dim sum I think of Anthony Anderson's fat ass hunting Jet Li in Romeo Must Die
5/13/2011 11:40:07 AM
Ahh the Raleigh NeoAsia (NeoChina) is right close to my place...maybe I should try there
5/13/2011 11:40:39 AM

Being from a Chinese fam i would say this is my fav place back home in comparison to the other local dim sum places. a bit far but lots of space and good price and good food.
5/13/2011 1:29:08 PM
Dim Sum House is very good. Most of their dishes remind me of the place I used to frequent in New York. Especially if you get some of the more authentic stuff like chicken feet or tripe. My only real complaint is the menu is limited but that's to be expected in a place its size.

I've done dim sum in nyc (chinatown), cary and morrisville. The dim sum house in Morrisville was hit or miss, but as long as you stick to the good stuff you should be fine. I really enjoyed neochina/neoasia's dim sum in cary as well.

Oh so two of my favorites there were the crispy seaweed roll (has shrimp inside) and the pan fried turnip cake.
5/15/2011 10:29:52 PM
They were out of Turnip Cake today and the deep fried tarro
5/15/2011 10:36:11 PM
I had the turnip cake, I think. It didn't really have any flavor so you weren't missing much.[Edited on May 15, 2011 at 10:44 PM. Reason : I hadn't read that it was ^^'s favorite. It's possible I'm thinking of the wrong item. ]
5/15/2011 10:42:07 PM
It's got a more subtle favorite. In general turnip cake is one of my favorite dim sum items. The fried seaweed thing is smthg I hadn't tried before I went there. Real good.
5/15/2011 11:40:20 PM

5/19/2011 12:39:22 PM
Then you shouldn't mind eating their stupid feet
5/19/2011 12:42:43 PM
chicken feet were pretty common eatin growin upwe'd either boil em or fry them, boiling was the best it left more meatcuz piggly wiggly used to sell em, i dont think any stores nowadays carry them. i would imagine you could make a request from the butcher[Edited on May 19, 2011 at 12:45 PM. 5/19/2011 12:44:33 PM
You can buy them at Grand Asia. You can also get them from the butcher at the farmers market as long as you call ahead.

You people really need to hit up Compare Foods. Its where I go for my ethnic foods. Shits like .69/lb for hot peppers, 10/$1 limes, tongue, feet, 50 cent cilantro, crema mexicana, etc etc. I live there.
