i saw one where a guy ran straight into a cactus, and the needle when through his eye and pierced his brain, obviously killing him hence the name of the show

that shit made me cringe. cactus needle in the eye?

watched one yesterday where a guy survived a gang's we're gonna kick the shit out of you initiation and when he was limping away, some other gang was disposing of a dead body from a bridge and the body landed on the guy and killed him lol

Considering that they "change the identity of the deceased" I wouldn't be surprised if they made up most of these for the show.

wikipedia page says they used to interview some of the people involved in the incidents, but now they just show scientific people talking about the anatomy of the deaths

Some of these are real I'm sure, but 97% of them seem to be creatively embellished.
