my brother stupidly clicked on one of these spam things on facebook for an osama execution video. it's now posting it on all his friends' pages. we changed his password, changed it to use https when possible. i can't find anything online that says how to stop it. all the articles just say "don't click on it if a friend posts it." well no shit. is there anything we can do now, after the fact?

https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacygo to the Apps section and remove permissions from anything that looks stupid

checked that too. all he had was pandora, marketplace, one other that was legit. we removed/disabled all apps anyway.

sooooooo many people keep clicking these

The one I saw wasn't something you click, it was an explanation to copy/paste a bunch of javascript into your address bar and hit enter. Not much you can do except educate your users, afaik.

lol yeah i don't know what exactly he did to get it. he swears he didn't click on anything but obviously that's not the case

e.g.I can't find the one I saw earlier today on reddit, but it was more manual than this one.
