I know you are looking for hammocks, which I am not, but hear me out.http://www.nagsheadhammocks.com/hammocks.aspProbably overpriced like everything else there but it's the only store I've seen that deals in them normally.

My family bought one from Hatteras Hammocks years and years ago. That bitch lasted A LONG time. Obviously you should take it in when there's bad weather, etc. I don't have any testimonial on their stands though, as we always hurt trees to put our hammocks up. http://hatterashammocks.com/

this is relevant to my interests i want another hammock. the last one i had was extremely cheap & it snapped in half when my brother got in it one day. what's the best option for rain/mold/rot resistance? i'd be putting it away but just in case i forget or it's really humid in the storage room & rots anyway.

i live near pensacola, fl right now so its not likely that i would order from NC unless i really really wanted it. i was just thinking of going to home depot and getting one.but yea, what will be more comfortable and last longer:the cotton rope ones or the one that has a mat or cloth body. if you have no idea what i mean, just search hammocks on homedepot.com

though not the rope type, ive owned two Eagles Nest Outfitters hammocks and loved them. they don't weigh anything and you can string one up almost anywherehttp://www.eaglesnestoutfittersinc.com/

Rope hammocks look the best, but they are far from the most comfortable.I had a rope hammock for a little while (expensive Pawley's Island one), didn't enjoy laying in it that much, sold it in on craigslist and got a new hammock that I would like to sleep in every night.Wish I could tell you more about the one I do have, but my girlfriend got it in Aruba and it doesn't have any tags on it. It's a lot smaller than the rope, but we can still fit two small people in it (she's 5'3" and I'm 5'8") comfortably.Did some searching...it's like this one, but smaller:No bars, just cloth and rope at the end. Love it.
