Not watching as I don't have cable, but I'll mention that this is like the 4th or 5th season of Tough Enough.

I won't watch this but I will mention here (since I don't want to make a thread about it) that I watched Wrestlemania last night, first time watching pro wrestling in a looooong time. It's not as good as it used to be. So many matches were just one dude getting beat on while laying on the ground for 90% of the match.

2/3rds of the tough enough contestants are already seasoned pro wrestlershell, a couple of them already have wwe developmental contractsjust sayin'

didn't this used to be on MTV?

Yes, now they just co-produce it. Surprisingly, Tough Enough contestants who actually make it into the WWE do fairly well.

I heard that wrestling is fake.

The season 1 winner is the "Fitness Expert" on QVC or some shit now.

just to emphasize that this is no more of a reality show than smackdown, the woman who was eliminated in episode 1 has been signed to a developmental contract
4/6/2011 3:09:58 PM
i mean that doesnt mean anythign because even on the ultimate fighter people who lose the first damn fight of the season wind up in the UFC they just dont get the money like the finalists and the winners doi dont see how its that big of a deal that rejects get some form of contract, it should also be painfully obvious that she may have talent worth pursuing despite the way she was portrayed on the showhell she was probably portrayed on the show that very way so that she gets a "pop" when she appears on TV.so its not groundbreaking news or anything that she gets signed to a developmental contract[Edited on April 6, 2011 at 3:28 PM. it's sort of a bad example in any case because vince has been hiring models who can't work for shit for years and years at this pointthis is all an angle in the first place. the original tough enough was on the regular reality model, but then daniel puder almost destroyed the last vestiges of kayfabe on raw and that went out the window. vince tried to do a reality angle with wwe nxt but instead of going for developmental talents everyone latched on to bryan danielson, who was recognized as an accomplished indy performer due to accessibility on the internet (something that didn't happen when randy savage debuted, for instance)so now vince has taken his in-house talent from nxt and thrown in some semi-known national performers in a silly format that will only be watched by people who like austin and trish

that makes more sense i havent followed WWE in a while but someone told me they had gotten back to better one on one matchesman kayfabe was gone like 2001 when undertaker came out on motorcycles and shit, fuck that
