Every time i try to open one on my faster work computer it freezes and makes me want to throw it across the room. However on my MBP in osx it opens a 30"x48" tif faster than a 5 mega pixel .jpg.

what? I just got done working with a 8 foot by 3 foot @300dpi .tif in Win7 and didn't have any issues.
