How is it ok to be mad at the right for poking fun at Michelle Obama, when you compare it to the vile hatred and sick comments made by the left about Palin and Bauchman?

Can we not see this objectively

Is this a joke? What vile and hatred things are you referring to from leftist commentators?

And how does the Palin/Bachmann birtherisms compare to telling people to exercise and eat healthy?

How about not comparing at all?

Making classless, vile comments about any of them is a shitty thing to do regardless of which side you're on.

Too bad both republicans and democrats are full of fucking children who spend more time fighting about petty shit than trying to get anything done.

Well, to start with, Michelle Obama is not neither elected nor contending for political office. She is married to someone who is, and she tells people not to be fatbodies.

Sarah Palin, for example, is either borderline retarded or knowingly playing average, half-witted Americans for all they're worth.

Just because they're both women doesn't mean that there's really much comparison between those two broads.

Rush Limbaugh has criticized Michelle Obama's campaign against obesity.

In related news, Sarah Palin has come out against Summer's Eve Feminine Cleansing Cloths' campaign against smelly cunts.

Sarah Palins daughter isnt an elected official, didnt stop David Letterman. All I am saying is that its equally messed up, yet it seems only the right gets criticized for it. Just like the Tea Party is a bunch of Nazi Fascists protesting a black president, but the union thugs are freedom fighters. The double standard is blatant, fair objective journalism is dead in this country

Making fun of women should never be accepted. They are frail and delicate creatures and should be treated with kiddy gloves. Also, they menstruate, which is weird.

Conservative persecution complex ITT.

It is a myth that the right is attacked more than the left, or there is a double standard.

Stop watching so much Fox News, it's warping your brain.

If you're a comedian, anyone is fair game. Because you're a goddamn comedian, and if someone does something funny, you're allowed to joke about it. This guy is crying about the lack of objective journalism and then using David fucking Letterman as an example of the attacks of the "left." Seriously, who gives a wet shit if David Letterman makes fun of Bristol Palin for being a whore. Honestly.

Palin and Bachmann are thought to be running for an office that will allow them to directly affect our lives with force of law. Michelle Obama is asking kids to eat less. There is a difference.

I think the most recent attacks on Michelle Obama speak to desperation.

She champions health and wellness and had some fancy pants short ribs with kale.

She didn't champion family values and have a bastard grandbaby by a sexy, backwoods hippy named Levi. Come on...that's funny.

Honestly I think we should be giving Rush some credit for showing restraint. Michelle Obama was caught eating RIBS!!! There are definitely some worse punchlines in there than just calling her fat.

This biggest joke of all, of course, is Rush calling anyone out for being fat.

But it misses the point. Obama doesn't talk about family values and good God-fearing Christians and stuff. So it wouldn't be as hilarious if Malia had a child out of wedlock when she was in high school.

I don't see why anyone gives a shit about the first lady or what she says/does/eats. If your goal is to encourage Americans to eat/live healthier, yeah, getting caught eating greasy meat sets a bad example. It's par for the course though, really. Politicians opine about the impoverished every day while they lead luxurious lifestyles on the backs of the poor. They spend other people's money to secure re-election while telling the population that they'll need to tighten their belts. The mantra of the political class has been, "do as we say, not as we do."

Calling Palin and Bauchman for being wrong and having beliefs based off of fiction is hardly "vile hatred and sick."

Quote :
"Sarah Palins daughter isnt an elected official, didnt stop David Letterman"

1. Letterman isn't a political comentator, he's a comedian.

2. He was criticized ruthlessly for the comment, and he apologized.

1. Who calls the tea partiers Nazi Fascists? The only time I've heard that term is by the Tea Party, you idiot.

2. I've never heard of the unions being referred to as Freedom Fighters.

You are fucking stupid.

Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann get what they deserve because of their own vile and nutjob comments. Michelle Obama on the other hand does not go out there attacking the other side. This can be filed under don't dish it out if you can't take it!

Anyone who would oppose a generic First Lady do-gooder campaign is just being a dick.

PS ... Michelle Obama is a smart, classy lady. Palin and Bachman are seriously lacking in both. (or like Duke said, maybe they're faking it. god I hope so)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1361562/Michelle-Obama-called-hypocrite-stuffing-state-governors-alleged-2200-calorie-meal.html

A 2200 calorie White House meal? Michelle Obama accused of hypocrisy (again) after Republicans defend her anti-obesity drive

Quote :
"KEITH KOFFLER'S ‘CONSERVATIVE’ BREAKDOWN OF OBAMA'S MEAL

• Salad of roasted pears with homemade ricotta, walnut crisps, with White House Kitchen Garden greens – 200 calories
• bread and butter – 150 calories
• Local Black Angus beef with blue crab – 550 calories
• assuming an eight ounce NY Strip steak and crab meat without any kind of fattening sauce.
• Plantain chips – 200 calories
• Black beans and rice – 300 calories
• Two glasses of wine – 200 calories
• Coconut Sorbet in a chocolate shell – 400 calories; served with poached tropical fruits made with White House Honey – 200 calories"

Quote :
"Criticizing her decision on what to serve, Koffler dug into Michelle Obama for what he sees are frivolous, fattening add-ons that contradict her message of balanced meals for America’s children.

‘Sunday, she served the governors beef instead of chicken, threw in some fattening plantain chips even though she already had a side of black beans and rice for them, added an unnecessary dollop of honey to the tropical fruit dish, and dropped the coconut sorbet – otherwise not a bad dessert choice – into a “chocolate shell,’ Koffler wrote."

2200 is supposed to be a lot of calories for a 3-course meal with two sides, bread and wine?

Has Keith Koffler never been to a restaurant or is he just a giant troll?

Exactly. It's a lot of calories, but for a fancy meal of that size its not all that amazing.

also it's pretty obvious that the Obamas are a fit family. Barack is always playing basketball out on the campaign trail and Michelle's arms are the envy of many middle aged women.

Fit is one thing.

Telling people that they need to eat healthier while you do not eat healthy (or getting upset when you get called out for splurging), is another.

A solution to this is: Don't tell people what to do.

None of those foods is alarmingly fattening by itself. Did she force feed it to them as well? I'm pretty sure portion control is done by the eater, not the person serving the food.

The two are not comparable once you use the force of the govt.
