Quote of the afternoon while hanging out on the ground floor for the tornado: "Damn it, if we die today, I can't play Portal 2!"
4/16/2011 5:30:53 PM
^LOL that is awesome.I broke down and pre-ordered it last night. I haven't been this excited about a new game in quite some time.

So far it's a lot of fun. Golovko and I did the first 15 or so co-op levels and had a blast.
4/19/2011 1:45:51 AM
Finally decrypted the files this morning...should have just waited to download, it would have been faster.Played the first 6 or 7 levels of the intro. Feels like Portal 1 but prettier. Same great humor, already laughed several times and love the high-strung British robot. I have high expectations for the rest of the game...
4/19/2011 9:53:52 AM
ahh cant wait, i pre-ordered it so it MUST be on its way to my apartment RIGHT NOW
4/19/2011 9:59:10 AM
SO PUMPED. i'm not moving off my couch until the credits roll.
4/19/2011 10:03:22 AM
game is awesome so far. only played for like 2 hours of co-op and had to go to sleep though
4/19/2011 11:14:59 AM
Hope it's longer than the first one, considering the asking price.
4/19/2011 12:48:45 PM
the national song is good, if a little odd. i actually stopped and listened to it in the corner.
4/19/2011 1:23:56 PM
4/19/2011 1:54:52 PM
Anyone want to co-op tonight? How does it work anyway? If you join a game it just puts you where the host is?
4/19/2011 2:59:48 PM
still not here guess i'm doing actual WORK tonight, bleh
4/19/2011 7:15:13 PM
I'm not getting it until this weekend. So we'll see how that goes if I don't kill myself first.
4/19/2011 7:25:23 PM
WELL I just found out that the UPS driver was nice enough to NOT bring my package to my door but tried to deliver it to the CLOSED front office and it requires a signature so... fmli'm tempted to just go buy it and return or sell the one i pre-ordered buuuuuuut that would make me a huge dork so i'm not going to tell anyone whether i wait or not
4/19/2011 7:38:44 PM
4/19/2011 9:37:05 PM
^A guy was playing Portal 2 right in front of me in my Metaphysics: Time Travel class.Wanted to HURT HIS FACE. Goddamnit why didn't I just go out and buy the game today.
4/19/2011 10:35:51 PM
I'm enjoying the game, but the load times are a bit irritating. At one point there's a rather tense scene, and it's broken in the middle by a load screen.
4/19/2011 11:19:11 PM
Only the 2nd video game I've purchased in the last year...love it.Spent about 4-5 hours this afternoon on solo, then 2 more with the roommate on co-op once he got home. REALLY enjoying it so far...kinda annoyed at the "interlude" levels at the abandoned lab where there's tons of open space and only one specific spot to throw a portal and you have to look all over the level for it, but there were only a few of them. But prior to that and since that it's been great
4/20/2011 12:15:18 AM
played through the first two levels in co-op, really enjoying it
4/20/2011 2:39:24 AM
I think I found the last straw with Gamestop.I went in to pre-order the pc version, and instead they talked me into getting the PS3 version since it would come with a free pc version. Here's what they conveniently forgot to mention; you have to have a PS3 and a PS Network account to be able to activate the pc version. I don't own a PS3. I don't own a PS-anything. Were it not for the amazing coincidence that my sister is home and brought her PS3, I would not be able to so much as install this on my rig. Thanks, Gamestop. Thanks for fucking nothing.

How can you justify paying $60 for this game?Isn't it just more puzzles?
4/20/2011 8:17:42 AM
awesome puzzles
4/20/2011 9:03:07 AM
how can you justify paying $60 for a new guitar hero game? isn't it just more songs?how can you justify paying $60 for a new madden game?isn't it just more players?how can you justify paying $60 for a new call of duty?isn't it just more maps?how can you justify paying $60 for a new console?isn't it just more games?
4/20/2011 9:16:35 AM
4/20/2011 11:20:37 AM
So you bought a game you don't have a console for and it's their fault?
4/20/2011 11:28:27 AM
Yeah I didn't explain myself very well.I wanted the pc version, but they said that I'd get it for free anyway if I got the PS3 version instead. I figured I'd give the PS3 one to my sister as a gift and keep the pc version for myself. Instead I'm finding out that I have to have an account with PlayStation to even be able to install the damn thing. So yeah, I guess it is my fault. But they can still kiss my ass for misleading me like that.
4/20/2011 12:38:20 PM
How's the length of this game... SP campaign? To me that's what brings the $60 price tag into question. All because of the brevity of the first title. So the question becomes:How can you justify paying $60 for this game if it's only 2 hours long?
4/20/2011 1:11:23 PM
it's fairly long. i estimate i've spent 6-8 hours so far and the end isn't in sight yet.i'd put its length as close to half-life 2.
