the lady friend and I were trying to set up her tv after moving the other day and it wont turn on.did some research and found that it may be a bad power supply board. I have no way of knowing how to test it to find out if thats the problem or not but seems to be an easy plug and play replacement if that is the problem. anyone on here know anything about them and can help or wouldnt charge me a new asshole to work on this thing?LG 42 inch plasma model 42pq30thanks guys, youre the best.

I recently had a similar situation with my 42" Sharp Aquos. The power light came on and would just blink, but the TV would never come on. After doing some research online I discovered that the blinks are actually an error code. By counting the blinks you can diagnose a lot of internal problems with the TV. Maybe your TV is similar, so if you are getting blinks on the power light then I would suggest looking up the error codes for your model.Or you could always take it to a local TV repair shop. Most of them do free / cheap estimates. The place that fixed my TV only charged me $25 for the estimate, then fixed it for $100. At the very least you can get the free/cheap estimate to find out what's wrong with it, and it may be something you can fix yourself.[Edited on February 21, 2011 at 6:53 PM. Reason : a]
