no guesses? We get a cup of coffee at the beginning of the week then get free refills the rest of the week.

^^^^ Am I missing something, or is that the most ridiculous fail ever?[Edited on February 17, 2011 at 9:51 AM. Reason : s]

i get free coffee at work ... we have every keurig flavor known to man
2/17/2011 9:52:27 AM
Sign up for a Starbucks gift card. Put $20 on it. Register your card. After 5 drinks you become a "green" member and you get free flavor shots and free refills. Buy coffee and save the cup. Go in the afternoons and you get free refills every day. In fact they assume I already got coffee in the morning because I had a coffee cup and just give me free coffee every day.Should I feel guilty? And you can use your phone to buy it. They just scan the barcode on the app.

I have never heard of putting honey in coffee before.

I do a similar deal at Redbox. My company gives these 25 dollar visa cards out all the time for good work or other random BS, and I got a whole stack of em. When they get down to 1 or 2 bucks left, I rent a redbox movie. They charge me whatever is left on the card but can't charge me anymore than that because they don't have my real CC. I usually return the movies eventually, but its definitely a loophole.

The coffee shop I used to work at wouldn't give out free refills at all. We had to charge $.50. And if you left and came back, we had to charge you for another cup.
2/17/2011 10:11:56 AM
to me this is stealing to me

mcdonald's once shorted me a sausage biscuit when i was using the drive-through...didn't notice until 5 minutes later and i was already lateever since, i just take in the same styrofoam cup and use that instead of buying a new one...i figure after 25-30 times, they will have made up the cost of stiffing me a biscuitTO ME, IT'S NOT STEALING, TO MEor is it?
2/17/2011 10:18:18 AM
I can only imagine the kind of bacteria and germs that live in that Starbucks cupEsp. if you put cream or milk in it[Edited on February 17, 2011 at 10:20 AM. Reason : gq]
2/17/2011 10:20:11 AM
i figured your plan would just be to have a friend order a drink, you go up saying its yours and walk out, then your friend complains he never got his drink and shows his receipt. same premise, only half off though
2/17/2011 10:21:55 AM
definitely stealing
2/17/2011 10:22:10 AM
it's only stealing if you get caught

2/17/2011 10:29:14 AM

so as long as they don't stop you that deems it ok?

So you're only stealing some of the time. Got it.
2/17/2011 11:55:22 AM
yes only some of the time.
2/17/2011 12:09:44 PM
You'll gonna feel guilty as hell next time you do thisTWW is going to be in your mind, wagging its judging finger at you
2/17/2011 12:11:07 PM
they deserve to be stolen from tbqh
2/17/2011 12:12:11 PM
if they make you scan your card to get a refill then its their fault for not tracking your last purchase date. otherwise its stealing.pro tip: if someone is using their phone for the card, take a screenshot on the phone and send it to yourself. Then use the photo of their card on your own phone for free starbucks.
2/17/2011 12:15:11 PM
haha that's awesome.

Damn you guys must drink a lot of coffee. I can't stand that stuff.
2/17/2011 3:31:30 PM
Yeah Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks. They're both right near my office uptown in Charlotte. If you fill out the survey on the DD receipt you get a free donut next time you come in. My co-worker gets a free donut like every day. I resist.
2/17/2011 3:39:11 PM
Or you know, just become buddies with the people at Starbucks and get free refills that way
2/17/2011 8:57:54 PM
^so is it stealing if they give it to you knowingly?
2/18/2011 9:34:19 AM
My company brews free Starbucks brand coffee outside of our cafeteria. They even have the flavor shots to make some of the crazy combinations. But I dont like coffee. In the random event that I DO want a cup of coffee, I go to one of the Keurig machines.[Edited on February 18, 2011 at 9:45 AM. Reason : .]
2/18/2011 9:44:14 AM
If you know a Starbucks employee and they give you a complimentary refill, you are not stealing. It could be construed that the employee is stealing from the company but that's on them.If you buy one cup of coffee on Monday and take the cup back on Tuesday afternoon for coffee and make the employees believe that you purchased it Tuesday morning, then yes technically you are stealing.
2/18/2011 9:53:26 AM
^^^ generally if you're going there that much you're spending enough that they won't mind a 10 cent loss from time to time.[Edited on February 18, 2011 at 9:54 AM. Reason : .]
