I'm pondering making the jump, possibly later this year or next, and I'd like some firsthand insight if anyone here has any experience. Specifically with a mid-market firm...a comm degree from State pretty much disqualifies me from anything in the KKR or Blackstone realm.

Looking more into distressed funds or mezzanine at this time, but I'm open to any suggestions or advice on the industry as whole. Thanks in advance.
