i want to fry a turkey this weekend. I've done it before with a borrowed fryer and oil. I have a fryer, but I need a fair amount of oil.Anyone know of anywhere in Raleigh I can walk in and buy like 5 gallons of peanut oil? Costco business delivery has it listed on their site, but I can't find any on their retail site -- so i'm not sure if they'd have it in a store or not.maybe a local resturant instead of an actual store?

Did you try calling Costco? If not there I'd try Sam's Club. You can't be the only person needing this.

yeah, i will call as soon as i have a chance. I'm in a meeting right now, that I'm not particularly involved in, but I can't make a call or walk out at the moment. So i figured I'd ask here to possibly save some time later.

I'm pretty sure most grocery stores carry the 3-gallon jug/carton of peanut oil. Sam's/Costco would probably be cheaper but I'm not sure how much.Use this (Pure Peanut Oil 3 Gal):http://productlocator.infores.com/productlocator/resources/13/CRSC/cooking_oil.htm

i'm sure you found it already, but we used to get large quantities at Costco/Sams for our deep fryer.

Don't listen to these idiots. Go to Sam's or Costco's instead.
