I'm not a car guy by any means so please help me out. I've got some corrosion on my battery in my Civic and I read that you can use baking soda mixed with water then just hose the battery off. Is it that simple? I assume the battery can get water on the outside and on the terminals?

yesi would also suggest cleaning the terminals with a wire brush or one these:they're cheap at auto zone or any parts store[Edited on January 30, 2011 at 2:49 PM. Reason : asd]

You can also just poor regular coca cola on it and then rinse with water.

I also put some grease around the terminals.
