God, you're such an idiot!

^Oh yeah? Well your mother is a hamster and your father smells of elderberries!

To be fair, there's no name-calling in "fuck you" or "kiss my ass" or "up yours" or "why don't you go fellate an AIDS monkey"

So is this like just derogatory names or like in a drinking game when someone makes the rule that you can't call anyone by thier normal names or you have to drink? The second one sounds like more fun.

The best drinking game rule is when you can't say pronouns or you have to drink.

I'm a fan of the little man rule myself. After a while, you begin to see the little man...
1/24/2011 3:52:20 PM
is that the thumb rule? i love the thumb rule.
1/24/2011 5:10:34 PM
no curse rule is always fun, but I also generally go for the little man rule because I'm good at it and everyone else hates it.

^^That's why I go for the Pronoun Rule. No other rule results in as much rapid drunkenness and hatred for myself on the part of others.

This was tried before, by you I believe, about two months ago. The people that were already name-callers continued to be name-callers. The people that weren't name-callers continued to not be name-callers. Welcome to the Internet, leave your decency at the door.

I was actually recently berated for my politeness in a thread, although I am not above using insults, I just generally only use them when it's funny.
1/24/2011 10:24:44 PM
I don't think calling people faggots is all that funny in any context, frankly.
1/24/2011 10:26:31 PM
"Faggot" lacks a certain something. As far as cadence goes, we've already got dickhead (and the associated dickhole, dickwad, etc), shithead, asshole, and others. It's not one of my favorite words, at any rate. I'll say "gay" a lot, but I don't have any real connection in my mind between "gay" the insult and "gay" the sexual orientation. As an insult I think it means something more like, "Someone who purports to be a prime example of male heterosexuality but in fact is not." Same thing with calling a guy a woman. I don't have a problem with women. Broadly insulting them is emphatically not in my interest. But if you claim to be one thing and then act like another thing, it is funny and some level of mockery is appropriate.[/rant] in defense of a class of insults

You faggots couldn't be more wrong, faggot is the funniest insult.
