I would take it myself but I'm already working too damn much Elementary school kid and middle school kid twice a week for 90 minutes a session. It's in Morrisville. The catch is you have to be able to speak at least conversational Japanese. If you're interested let me know.

^ aha, you know that might be enough to get the job depending on how desperate this woman gets. I think they're asking a bit much throwing the Japanese requirement in there imo.

Is this through Southern Bridge? I tutored a woman a few years ago and I'm not sure how much she got out of it. They told me she would have English workbooks and everything, but she had nothing so there was a lot of awkward silence. I think helping her enroll her daughter in kindergarten was the most productive thing I did. Pay was decent though.

I have no idea but it may be. It doesn't surprise me there weren't workbooks. I did this sort of tutoring when I was still in undergrad and it was basically come over and help the kids with their homework, work on some phonics, talk about their day with them. But these are kids, not a random Japanese housewife. I'd be pretty annoyed if I was asked to do eikaiwa work with someone and they didn't tell me upfront that's what it was going to be. Eikaiwa work is hard to do imo.

If they drop the Japanese requirement I'd be all over this. I can provide references, have experience, etc.
