I went to the Bass and Saltwater Fishing Expo last weekend. The vendors and prices are decent. They will have some specialty tackle or stuff that is not available at any local tackle shops or big box stores. Overall it was interesting, the classes and demos are helpful if you are into that kind of thing.

^^Is it worth shelling out $15 for? Maybe.You probably could find all the same information they present on the internet, the problem is that you don't know what to look for.

practice is the best teacher for fly fishing. It took me a while to learn and I still don't have the textbook cast, but it gets the job done...although I haven't been in years, so i probably stink now.do you trout fish, salt water, or fresh water fly fish?

yea i would definitely rather be in the presence of the expertsyou learn that looking online doesnt teach you a whole lot of the nuancesim really excited about the casting demos, the fly tying at this point not so much, i just want a set of decent fly tying equipment that ill probably find at the expo, im way to green to devote time being taught, id be wasting the instructors time lolany type of freshwater even bass fishing, i hope to fly fish for bowfin and gar eveni am planning on going both days from the time the doors open until the time they close[Edited on January 14, 2011 at 11:18 AM.
