This has to be done to be fair to Foxy.

As critical as we all were of that 3 yards and a cloud of dust, it is what it is piece of shit, anytime a coach doesn't butcher a press conference he deserves a thread.

He's got a long way to go before he hires any coordinators and coaches. Playing under Two fucking HOF coaches while you played in the NFL aren't good enough this season.

Acceptable Progression

2011: 4-5 wins
2012: 7-8 wins, in contention until December
2013: 10 wins, Wildcard berth

I think thats fair, if somewhat optimistic

I think it was a decent hire.

Richardson isn't going to open his wallet for a big name and no one was dying to come out of retirement to coach a 2-14 team.

I'm content for now.

[Edited on January 11, 2011 at 8:48 PM. Reason : odd that stealing Chance's post from sid's watch would be so appropriate years later]

I figured we'd get about 8 wins.

But I had no idea Moore would turn from an effective QB to a worthless sack of shit over the summer.

theres a lot of difference, mentally, in coming in in 2009 with no pressure, versus going through the next off-season knowing you're the top candidate for QB, and having teams look at film of you

He should consider Norv Turner for Offensive Coordinator. One of the best in the biz.

unless clausen shows marked improvement this coming season (like at least 8 wins), i'm still betting (and hoping) for the #1 pick next year also. 4-5 wins does nothing except screw our draft

We should blame only Clausen for our poor season.

like many others I immediately thought WTF when Rivera decided to punt but it really was a genius decision. Either we went for it and if we failed, put them in a position for an easy touchdown or fieldgoal (pretty much winning the game). or even if we scored, it probably would have given them the time they needed to come back down the field anyway. He knew that if we punted and as good as our ST have been that they would just run down the clock and we'd have a solid 1:30 with the ball back (assuming we stopped their run). that decision took Brees out of the game essentially and put it all on their shitty running corps and gave us all the momentum from the crowd for 4 plays instead of just one.

+100 for Rivera
