Of all the things to do, this one idiot spends his life savings on gold mining in Alaska? AND he has a wife and kids? What fucking planet is he from. Also, who are these other retards that are married with kids and follow him to bumsville to panhandle for gold?I hope the season finale is all of them getting mauled by bears

Haha this show bring the lolz. I worked in gold mines for 2 years, although at a much much much larger scale, it's still funny to watch these idiots fumble around and expect to get rich. I like how the end of last nights episode the old foggie said they'd have $100,000 in gold by next week, bwaaahahahaha. I also enjoyed how freaked out they were by some little bears, fucking pansies.

Yeah that $100,000 comment was laughable. They'd need to get ~70oz/week of gold to make $100,000. Working 7 days a week (unlikely), thats 10 ounces of gold per day. Assuming they work 8 hours, thats 1 1/4 ounces per hour.Sorry grampy, your 1 hour test run did not look like 1 1/4 ounces of gold.

^ It didn't look like they were finding much nugget gold but it is about 1.5x the value of melted flake. Lot of people use smaller nuggets for jewelry thus it commands a little more cash.

Those are the same? Hmm. The one I remember had a group of like 9 (?) people with a hot asian chica and people could drop out if it got to be too much.

same

I don't know. I caught some of "The Alaska Experiment" last night and it showed some couple eating goat meat which was different than the group of folks trekking from point to point. *shrug*

I love how they are in a never ending search for the "glory hole".
