AKA cock sauce, because there's a rooster on the bottle and because "cock" also means "penis" and that is funny.Greatest thing to ever happen to food? Or greatest thing to ever happen, period?I'm sure there are other fans on here, and I wish to know who you are so I can better divide this site into people who suck and people who have excellent taste in all things.

You suck at posting pics.
1/3/2011 9:24:35 PM
Skwinkle and I heart that stuff!I put it on ERRYTHANG.
1/3/2011 9:25:13 PM
not a fan. I prefer.
1/3/2011 9:25:28 PM
^^^Probably true. I could see it when I posted so I assumed all was good. Please inform me of how to do so better, and then either talk about sriracha or go fuck yourself.^You are a communist.[Edited on January 3, 2011 at 9:26 PM. Reason : ]
1/3/2011 9:26:01 PM
Id rather go fuck myself.
1/3/2011 9:26:38 PM
Fuck yes. Love.
1/3/2011 9:27:28 PM
Please do.Tonight's experiment involved the sauce in equal parts with honey, which sounded stupid right up until the moment I tried some and then saw God.
1/3/2011 9:27:41 PM
+ fried chicken
1/3/2011 9:29:24 PM
I kinda went off the deep end when I first discovered the stuff. I thought it was the almighty, and then one night, in a desperate fit of hunger, I decided to try it on spaghetti noodles. I get sick when I simply think of that sauce now.
1/3/2011 9:30:32 PM
Hows about you shove that fancy bottle of weak sauce up your ass.
1/3/2011 9:31:00 PM

"rooster sauce"I was usin' that mess 10 years ago
1/3/2011 9:35:33 PM
cholula and all variations are good.why must it be one over the other? why can't the cabinet contain options for many different palates?
1/3/2011 9:36:08 PM
cholula is probably good and I shall have to try it.But I'll be damned if I'm gonna stand for "not a fan" in relation to sriracha, which I assume tchenku has been eating so long because he's some kind of chinaman.
1/3/2011 9:38:20 PM
real mexicans know where it is at
1/3/2011 9:38:53 PM
Cholula is amazing. I drink that stuff straight. But Sriracha cannot be consumed by itself. That stuff kicks my booty.
1/3/2011 9:39:48 PM
^^also crazy delish[Edited on January 3, 2011 at 9:40 PM. Reason : arrow]
1/3/2011 9:40:06 PM
yeah, they arent in the same class... I love both but they are very different.Cholula is basically Mexican Ketchup and Rooster sauce is actual hot sauce
1/3/2011 9:42:01 PM
Sriracha hot sauce is the best!
1/3/2011 9:44:53 PM
1/3/2011 9:48:26 PM

Cholula is basically Mexican Ketchup and Rooster sauce is actual hot sauce Vietnamese Ketchup.I love both, but each have their time and place.

1/3/2011 10:00:33 PM

+1 for fried chickenespecially wings when I fry them, toss in sriracha, bake, then EAT
1/3/2011 10:10:06 PM
OMFG i love sriracha.Cock brand (huy fong) ftw.I actually prefer this:It's basically sriracha that isn't pureed.I eat it with a lot of things. It's best paired with fish sauce and crushed peanuts. Also, Thanksgiving was created for sriracha; I love it with turkey.[Edited on January 3, 2011 at 10:17 PM. Reason : I am now salivating. ]
1/3/2011 10:14:33 PM
^ I like that too but it seems a lot milder to me than sriracha. I don't know if it IS or if it just seems that way though.
1/3/2011 10:38:12 PM
1. it's called "rooster sauce"2. yes it is the best thing to happen to food ever3. you are at least 25 years late on this - I have literally been eating this as long as I can remember. we mix it with fish sauce to make a dipping sauce when my dad makes nim chow (vietnamese spring rolls)4. (bonus) the garlic kind in the jar has a much better taste and goes well with nacho cheese doritos[Edited on January 3, 2011 at 10:44 PM. Reason : .]
1/3/2011 10:40:56 PM
It depends on the batch, sometimes you get a jar that's real mild, other times it's fairly hot. Overall though you are correct, it is a little bit milder than the puree. That just means you put more on stuff I like the flavor a lot more.I really like my parent's chili garlic sauce. They make it super hot but it still has a nice thai chili and garlic flavor. I feel sorry for yall because you don't have parents with those skillz.
1/3/2011 10:43:01 PM
the only place I can find this is at Wal-Mart, anyone know of another place?
1/3/2011 10:43:03 PM
I love this. I have been using it for years, since I was once engaged to a half Korean.
1/3/2011 10:44:13 PM
hairy teeter.or wait...I know! The asian store. duh Grand asia market is a good one.
1/3/2011 10:45:06 PM
I did not know that G.O.D was previously engaged. Now that I have learned this information, I am quite sure that Arab13 orchestrated the breakup.

I'm a big fan of Valentine's because I can buy a 64oz bottle for a dollar at Walmart. Sriracha is good too, but I prefer my hot sauce to be more liquid.

this thread inspired me. I just had some rice and beans grilled chicken with some sriracha.yumm nom.
1/3/2011 11:55:35 PM
Sriracha is great in Ramen, but I prefer Texas Pete with most foods.
1/3/2011 11:56:13 PM
[user]Grumpy[/user] - Fish sauce is like $3 for a giant-ass bottle and it basically never goes bad. Get a bottle and experiment, just don't mind the smell.
1/4/2011 12:02:15 AM
1/4/2011 12:20:57 AM
^^Maybe I ought to do that. The smell has never bothered me before, I just didn't know what the shelf life was. When I've had it around town (most recently at Dalat, which may not be the best example I guess) I've always enjoyed it.
1/4/2011 12:32:00 AM
I am a fan.
1/4/2011 12:39:25 AM
