I didn't think you'd be so nice after our falling out last year, and who could blame you? But we were oversteering in no time, and you were eagerly waiting for the next time we brake and power out again. Sure you have trouble keeping your feelings to yourself, telling me everything about the road, and what you're thinking about doing next, but you know what, I'm willing to listen... You are so special, you don't ask for expensive tires or fancy pads to have a little fun like your younger sister, nor do you complain about the longer straigts at Watkins Glen or Road Atlanta like your older sibling.

I <3 u e36 m3 sedan. Even if we're not meant for each other, I will never forget you! Seeing you again today, spending time exploring each other in the snow and ice, in public and on more deserted roads... Another day with you only made things more clear...

I know none of you care, in fact some of you positively loathe the love for BMWs, but for those of you that have been enlightened, here's an update:

I'm not sure how far I'll take this particular e36, but the bead blasted 8.5 DSIIs are going to be picked up tomorrow. The car already has stud conversion w/spacers in the front to clear wider tires -6 Toyo R888 track tires are sitting at the shop waiting for a set of wheels to free up. I've also done other things like getting this key to work (w/the proper transponder for the ESW system, as well as the keyless entry to work properly):

and the roof/bike racks (BMW cross braces with Porsche/Thule carriers):

Excuse the wheels, like I said I'm working on it!

This car has... 224k miles on it, and as such I'm going over it and there's been plenty to fix, but it's getting there. I've been working on it nearly full time for almost two weeks now, doing lots of refreshing, most of it optional -see the key above!- but I like these cars, and this color combo.

I intend to come back to Watkins Glen, I'll give you a heads up. This time I'm going into Canada to see Niagara Falls while I'm up there I think. I'll let you know if this happens sir.

The car was not purchased from a high schooler, it used to belong to a guy who runs a machine shop. Storied past it's had, but let's just say I had to do some work on having the single (proper VIN # referenced) key to work in every lock...

Ultimate driving machine my ass, but it's very involving mid corner, Porsches aren't quite so eventful around the apex. Ditto for high speed on power stuff, it's not planted on power the way Porsches are. Don't get me wrong, 911s are a lot of work to drive properly also, just different. The 911 likes to bite you w/out much warning and keeps you on your toes. The M3's all over the place past 90% and unlike the Porsche, every little movement it makes is b/c it's about to explode, whereas it's up to you on the 911 to know when it's bluffing.
