Are the O's going to trade JJ Hardy back to Minnesota before Opening Day? I can tell you're a huge Twins fan.Edit: Greinke? LOLOK[Edited on December 10, 2010 at 2:31 PM. Reason : .]
12/10/2010 2:30:39 PM
Hardy to the Twins would be so super awesome! TreeTwista10 would know more about it than me!
12/10/2010 2:34:07 PM
ibtl? at least post the players that are actually on the team, not some dick's proposed trades from over a month ago that didn't/won't happen
12/10/2010 2:45:14 PM
To be honest I got lazy and copy/pasted the first write up about the 2011 season I saw. I know there are enough people like myself interested in the Twins to keep the thread going and not be locked.
12/10/2010 2:47:03 PM
I think the Sox adding Dunn(fuck you Ricketts family) puts them over the top this year in the West.
12/10/2010 2:48:51 PM
I seriously doubt they can win the West
12/10/2010 2:53:01 PM
Haha, fail. Central, my brotha.
12/10/2010 2:54:46 PM
Thanks for the thread CarlI'm excited to have Nathan back
12/10/2010 3:01:48 PM
The White Sox have not been in a place to compete in the AL West since 1993.
12/10/2010 3:03:09 PM
Thank you for your jj hardy in return for relievers who either wont be shit or will be awesome now that they are free of the shackles of the orioles organization
12/10/2010 3:05:00 PM
^^Would have been a nice comeback a few posts earlier, but I give you props for crow-baring it in nonetheless. ]
12/10/2010 3:05:18 PM
Don't sweat it, I wouldn't expect a Cubs fan to know much about baseball.
12/10/2010 3:06:02 PM
Touche, kind sir.
12/10/2010 3:06:45 PM
Hey this is the Twins thread, we are a better midwest club than either of the Chicago garbageshowever I support your arguing back and forth if it helps this thread reach 1000 pages
12/10/2010 3:07:41 PM
Now that Detroit missed out Crawford, The Twins and the White Sox will compete for the AL Central crown. If the White Sox starting pitching is above average (Peavy? 5th starter?) and a couple of hands are added before the season starts, I don't expect it to be THAT close. 95% of the offense is Mauer/Morenau/Young and it'll be hard to replace that miracle 2010 Jim Thome performance in 2011.
12/10/2010 3:10:46 PM
Whats the deal with Thome?I'd think he'd want ducats after raking last year while playing for peanuts
12/10/2010 3:12:03 PM
I think Jim Thome is just too damn old (40) for a team to seriously consider signing him beyond a cheap or incentive-based contract.
12/10/2010 3:16:26 PM
even so, on a 1 year deal he should get at least Carlos Pena money
12/10/2010 3:18:19 PM
Treetwista and his wife
1/20/2011 3:41:17 PM
i thought the bump would be about retaining pavano and the glorious moustache
1/20/2011 4:52:03 PM
^^^You got it backwards, Carlos Pena should be getting Jim Thome money[Edited on January 20, 2011 at 4:54 PM. Reason : ^]
1/20/2011 4:54:13 PM
you both got it wrongCarlos Peña(alt+164)

Fact: when Apocalypse makes an **OFFICIAL** thread instead of the rightful, usual threadmaker, that team is destined to have a subpar season.Evidence: http://brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=590629
1/20/2011 6:16:35 PM
subpar = win the division, lose to the Yankees in the postseason
1/20/2011 6:49:11 PM
if you win the Central, I'll video myself chewing on a gym sock and post it on YouTube
1/20/2011 6:50:51 PM
you're probably gonna wanna go ahead and record it, so you can upload it in september

Nathan is the closer
3/27/2011 10:06:41 PM
not for long
3/27/2011 10:07:30 PM
correct, he will share some early closing opportunities with Capps until Gardy realizes he's stronger than ever
3/27/2011 10:09:28 PM
i giggled at "Gardy"
3/27/2011 10:19:06 PM

4/1/2011 5:13:36 PM
for some reason Mauer was throwing a football during the Twins lineup introduction lol
4/1/2011 7:15:59 PM
I feel really bad for Mauerhe will have exactly 50 RBI opportunities this season
4/1/2011 7:17:19 PM
he'll have 50 RBI opportunities this year just against the Sox' bullpenstupid little canadian kid singing the national anthem[Edited on April 1, 2011 at 7:26 PM. Reason : .]

5/16/2011 1:47:31 AM
Didn't they win the AL Central Last year? What the fuck happened?
5/16/2011 12:11:33 PM
injuries have hurt uswe'll still win the division this year though, thank goodness for 162,000 game seasons
5/16/2011 12:52:51 PM
no way they win the division. i'd probably go with Detroit, since cleveland will level off a little most likely. but with cleveland looking pretty solid, and KC not being complete trash, it's going to be even harder to get out of the hole that they're in already. might as well sit mauer even longer to make sure he's fine, sell off a couple pieces (cuddyer, morneau?) and get younger and play for next year.
