ENG 376 science fiction are offered in the fall and have high demand, but my question is first has anyone taken it, and if so how many hours did you have when you signed up for it, i will have 92 hours at the time of registration next semester for fall classes, is the minimum to be a senior, so would i have any chance to get in the class? i need to know b/c if i can't i have to keep my literature for next semester

I'll take a chance and respond to this. This class is amazing and Dr. Kessel is the shiz. I would definitely recommend taking it whenever you have the ability to sign up for it. I took it in my last fall semester as an undergrad (mainly b/c he hadn't taught it in a while). I had 150 hours at the time so getting in was easy. You definitely have to be a senior to think about signing up through mypack, and you need to do it the second registration opens, so now is much too late to think about getting in. On the first day, you hear a ton of stories from the other students about the lengths they had to go to in order to get into this course.Dr. Kessel is usually pretty nice and lets a few people into the class if you show up on the first day and there are a few extra desks. He usually doesn't go over 30 because he hates grading 30 papers and exams every round. My suggestion: show up on the first day and see what happens. Otherwise, you don't have a shot right now.

thanks for your advice, but i am talking about fall '11, not in the spring (next semester) it is only o ffered in the fall (if they offer it)just not sure if 92 hours will be enough, that will be my last semester and i'll actually be a senior ahead of many people, and damn if you need 150 hours to get in, there will probably be lots of people with more hours than me trying to get in.
