11/30/2010 9:41:44 PM
Word on the street is Christmas Day for Raleigh--but, as always, that's tentative.
12/3/2010 5:25:34 PM
Just saw it. Phenomenal movie. I can see it getting a ton of awards. Firth was brilliant, as was Bonham Carter and Rush. Highly recommended.
12/29/2010 7:56:42 PM
So here's the deal.I was kind of of the impression that this was going to be the kind of movie that's good and whatever, but who gives a fuck? Does that make sense? Like The Queen, for instance. Not necessarily because of the monarchy thing, but just because it's a good movie, something that I can recognize as being a good movie, but something that does not move me in any way whatsoever. To make a long story short: holy fuck. The King's Speech is a phenomenal film. Go see it. For realsies. Don't mistake it for run-of-the-mill Oscar bait. It's the real deal.
12/29/2010 11:56:08 PM
Saw this at the Chelsea a few day's ago with gf's family. Top notch acting. Really enjoyed it.
12/30/2010 8:37:35 AM
The week between Christmas and New Year's is always a Galaxay marathon for me. (usually because my membership runs out each year on the 31st)This movie was unbelievably good. (Better than True Grit, imo, which was also great) I Love You Philip Morris was also pretty funny. (not great though)
12/30/2010 12:18:21 PM
I've seen four really awesome movies recently, and I will rate them as follows:1) The King's Speech2) Black Swan3) 127 Hours4) True Grit
12/30/2010 12:56:47 PM
Saw this today and thoroughly enjoyed it...I kind of expected it to drag pretty heavily in spots (a lot of historical dramas tend to) but this one really didn't. Colin Firth was fantastic, Helena Bonham Carter gave an admirably restrained performance and Guy Pearce is always good as a womanizer. The repartee between Firth and Geoffrey Rush was just a joy to watch.

i think it's currently playing at the rialto & i'm hoping to see it soon!
1/9/2011 10:17:01 PM

1/9/2011 11:17:14 PM
Saw this last night at the Galaxy...fantastic movie.
1/10/2011 10:33:50 AM
Saw it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great acting, a good sprinkling of humor among the heavier moments, good story...all in all will certainly watch again at some point. I'm curious to know if the real life Prince Albert/King George VII had a similar personality (both with his short temper and his good sense of humor).
1/12/2011 2:10:30 AM
Awesome and hilarious film...fuck fuck fuck

3/24/2011 11:49:13 AM
saw it at Crossroads and all profanity was intact
3/24/2011 12:15:14 PM
Just got word that Technicolor will be taking our R rated print tonight. They delivered the PG-13 version today (we had no choice in the matter, believe me). If you want to see the non-bullshit version of this movie, you're gonna have to do it today.
3/31/2011 3:08:35 PM
This could be a dumb question...but since I've never seen a movie re-released with a different rating...will they come out with both DVD options?? My common sense would say that they would come out with the R-version instead of the PG-13 version...or maybe both (like a rated or unrated version...although it would seem weird with this movie considering that usually happens with action flicks or "American Pie" type movies).Either way...I'm definitely buying this when it comes out...and I want to make sure I hear Colin Firth say "tits" and "fuck". Because that shit was funny.
3/31/2011 3:50:09 PM
Movies hyped this much don't usually live up to it in my opinion, but this movie was great
4/23/2011 11:01:24 PM
^ Saw it last night. THIS.
4/23/2011 11:01:58 PM
^^^I haven't seen the rated R one in the store.I too watched this again last night with the fam. Fan-freaking-tastic.
4/23/2011 11:20:25 PM
what are the differences? Just him saying fuck and tits? Because that was in the version we got from Netflix
4/23/2011 11:23:15 PM
They took "tits" out of the PG-13 version?
4/24/2011 9:29:49 AM
Got this in the Red Box yesterday! great movie. I loved it
4/24/2011 9:34:57 AM
I got this at the redbox also this weekend, watched it with my parents.I was expecting this movie to be overdramatic and super full of itself like oscar bait movies often are.But it wasn't at all, it was well acted, only as dramatic as it needed to be, and actually quite hilarious at times.
5/2/2011 10:16:35 PM
just watched this tonightthought it was good
5/3/2011 12:36:56 AM
Just saw this last night (Red Box). I had resisted seeing it because I thought it would be lame Oscar bait but it was really good.
5/23/2011 10:58:28 AM
