so i tried audacity and the setting that the tutorial says to use is not available, i'm basically trying to record a mic plugged in and played back through software.sounds great on the fly but when i record it only records the raw vocalswhat do i need?

i have a conexant cx20671 hd audio card if that helps, looks like they dont support w7....this blows

I can't remember offhand what version I'm running but it's a beta version and it has extra functionality. It's probably 1.3 beta so yea give that a try.

well i think the problem is that the audio card doesn't support it unfortunately....ive tried a ton of different settings
